Visualization of proposals through art. The third day delegates are divided into groups and participate in one of the following workshops:
Description of workshops:
1. Three-dimensional Eleusis. The children mark the thematic routes they took on a floor map of Elefsina, add their suggestions for changes and capture their feelings, through painting and texts.
(Facilitated by: Maria Dimopoulou - Alexandra Tsigou, Environmental Education Coordinators of the Primary Education Directorates of 1st Athens and West Attica)
2. Construction of pickets (posters). Children create slogans and decide which one they want to appear on their picket, write it and decorate it with paints/paintings. The pickets will be used in the symbolic pupils march to the City Hall upon the conference closure.
(Facilitated by: Antonia Dardioti, Environmental Education Coordinator of the Secondary Education Directorate of East Thessaloniki & different specialty teachers of Thessaloniki Junior High Schools)
3. Music Workshop. In the music workshop, the children write the lyrics of a song to a given melody and prepare to sing it at the end of the conference at the Town Hall.
(Facilitated by: Despoina Laskou, Music teacher, Ioulia Dretaki, teacher)
4. Photo exhibition installation workshop. The children set up a real exhibition on stands with photos of Elefsina, so that the residents of Elefsina may visit. They create captions by giving "voice" through their thoughts, humor and feelings to elements of the city which they like or not.
(Facilitated by: Lina Douvantzi, Antonia Dardioti, Environmental Education photography network coordinators “Click, protect it!”)
5. Art Workshop. Using paintings and collage technique, the children capture the city they dream of and their visions for a climate-neutral Elefsina city on a banner.
(Facilitated by: Thomas Oikonomakos, Artist, - Stage designer)
6. Sculpture construction. The children use recyclables (paper, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, fabrics, etc.) and natural materials (leaves, branches, etc.) to create a three-dimensional construction that represents their vision for Elefsina.
(Facilitated by: Thomas Oikonomakos, Artist, - Stage designer)
7. Theatrical act. Children express themselves with theatrical techniques on issues related to climate neutrality. The group members represent their experiences at the conference using their bodies.
(Facilitated by: Maya Andreou, Electrical Engineer/Actress, Fay Ioannidou, Theater Pedagogy - Community Energy River)
8. Music-visual event & unifying dance. Children start dancing to the sound of the harp, share concepts and vision and create visual installation and the "unity song" along with "circle movement" (circle dance) that brings out feelings, experiences, memories and visions bridging past-present-future.
(Facilitated by: maria a. angeli, Holistic Learning Educator, Musician, Visual Arts Curator)
